ICAR-CIBA celebrated its 73rd Independence Day on 15th August 2019 with pride and remembered the great sacrifices made by freedom fighters, to win freedom for India. Dr K K Vijayan, Director, CIBA hoisted the tricolour flag and delivered the independent day speech. In his address, he remembered the great sacrifices made by the great leaders and all hose fought for Indian Independence. He highlighted that it is the duty of every Indian citizen to protect the idea of nation and to strive hard for sustainable growth and prosperity of the country. He stressed that everyone should volunteer to take responsibility, and work as an individual, the family and the institute to realise the growth trajectory if the nation. All of us need to unite, work hard, and face the challenges with courage and determination to build the organization. He shared the happiness on the successful conduct of Braqcon 2019 at the beginning of this year. He stressed the importance of teamwork, and holistic work culture to make new strides in the research front of the institute, and wished CIBA achieve greater heights as an R&D institution, nodal for the promotion of Brackishwater aquaculture in the country. CIBA scientist & staff with family members participated in the celebration. Research centres of CIBA NGRC, Navsari, Gujarat, KRC, Kakdwip, West Bengal, and MES, Muttukadu, Tamil Nadu also celebrated the 73rd Independence day.
