Sixty five outgoing B.Sc., Horticulture students from College of Horticulture, Bidar, Karnataka visited Muttukadu Experimental Station of CIBA on 20th April 2022, as a part of their Southern India Study Tour Programme. This exposure visit was aimed basically to gain knowledge about the allied sectors like aquaculture on farming system mode. Their visit commenced with planting of tree saplings by the students at MES campus. Dr. B. Shanthi, Principal Scientist, SSD and Shri. K.P. Sandeep, Scientist and OIC MES Muttukadu explained them in brief about the major research and extension activities undertaken by ICAR-CIBA for the sustainable development of brackishwater aquaculture, enhancing the livelihood status of aqua farmers, farm women and coastal fisher communities. The hatchery units and finfish laboratory activities were explained in detail by Dr. T. Senthil Murugan, Principal Scientist, FCD. Shri. T. Sivaramakrishnan, Scientist. NGBD highlighted the feed formulations and feed processing activities.
