I have earned Masters and Doctoral degree in Animal Genetics and Breeding from the prestigious ICAR – National Dairy Research Institute, Karnal in 2007. I have joined ICAR – CIBA in the same year and been working here till date. I am currently working on development of genomic and transcriptomic resources that would lead to a better understanding of economic traits in candidate brackishwater aquaculture species. I have expertise in multivariate statistics, phylogenomics, eukaryote genome assembly and annotation and comparative genomics of viruses.
