After taking M.F.Sc in Aquaculture in 2013 at ICAR-CIFE,Mumbai. I joined the Agricultural Research Service in January 2016. I am working in ICAR-CIBA since 2016 on captive breeding, seed production, and culture of brackishwater finfish species and having hands-on experience on breeding and seed production of Asian seabass, milkfish, and spotted scat. I currently work in the finfish culture division of Navsari Gujarat Research Center of CIBA (NGRC-CIBA). At present, I am working on the periphyton-based nursery and grow-out farming of milkfish, pearl spot, and rabbitfish and developing sustainable polyculture farming systems for livelihood generation. As a sub-project leader, I have contributed towards cage-based spawning and seed production of pearl spot and orange chromide in the RAS system as a livelihood model for coastal communities. My research interests are captive breeding and seed production of finfish species, biofloc based nursery, and grow-out a system for finfish species.
- Captive maturation and induced breeding of brackishwater finfish species.
- Development of larval and nursery rearing protocols
- Sustainable farming systems:- Biofloc, Polyculture models
