After completing post-graduation in Marine biology in 2001, from Cochin University of Science and Technology, I had joined for PhD. in 2003. In 2009, I was awarded PhD. in Marine biotechnology from Cochin University of Science and Technology on the topic Mangrove plant Ceriops tagal as a potential source of Anti-White Spot Syndrome Virus preparations for Penaeus monodon. In 2010, I joined as a lecturer at the Department of Aquaculture, Secret Heart College, Thevara Cochin. In 2011 I started my post-doctoral research at National Centre for Aquatic Animal Health, CUSAT. During my post-doctoral research as Principal Investigator, I obtained two externally funded projects from Kerala State Council for Science Technology and Environment (KSCSTE), Department of Science and Technology, Government of Kerala. In the year 2016, I joined CIBA as a research scientist in Crustacean Culture Division. At CIBA, priority research areas are as follows. Sustainable solution for addressing the health related issues in crustacean larval rearing and grow-out systems. Development of culture system for brackish water polychaete worms as a source of PUFA. Microbial profiling of brackish water aquaculture systems to identify beneficial and harmful microbes to develop a strategy to improve the shrimp culture environment
