After getting Ph.D. in Fishery Microbiology from College of Fisheries, Mangalore, India and post-doctoral experience during 2003 to 2009 from Baylor College of Medicine, Houston, USA, I have been working at CIBA, Chennai, India since January 2010 on Aquatic Animal Health related aspects. I have worked on disease monitoring, virus and host protein interaction, defense mechanism of shrimps and RNAi therapy. I have handed five external funded projects as PI and equal numbers as Co-PI apart from regular institute projects. I have interests in determining virulence status and pattern of spread of several aquatic pathogens, developing treatment strategy and antimicrobial resistance.
