After post-graduation in Soil Science and Agricultural Chemistry from TNAU in 1996 and Ph.D. in 2003, I am with CIBA since 2003 (Worked in CSWCRTI, Dehradun from 1998 to 2003). I am presently working in the Environment Section of the Aquatic Animal Health and Environment Division. My research focus includes nutrient dynamics, nitrogen budgeting, 15N tracer studies, soil-water interface, water budgeting, carbon sequestration in pond sediment and its use as agriculture manure, disused aquaculture ponds, degradation of antibiotics in a shrimp pond environment, and anti-bacterial properties of nanoparticles. My research work is aimed at reaching new technology and management practices to aqua farmers. I have an interest in nanotechnology, soil profiling, and the application of cutting-edge technologies in aquaculture.
- Addressing soil and water quality challenges in shrimp culture ponds
- Nutrient dynamics pertaining to various aquaculture practices
- Mineral requirement for different shrimp species under low saline aquaculture
- Nanoscience and Nanotechnology application in aquaculture
- Climate change related to aquaculture
