After taking Bachelors in Agricultural engineering in 1993 and Masters in Soil and water conservation engineering during 1995, registered for a Ph.D. in the topic Impact assessment of effluent irrigation using GIS and RS at Center for water resources, Anna university. Subsequently qualified in ARS and joined CIBA during 1997 and working on various issues of brackishwater aquaculture pertaining to the environment and aquaculture engineering. In the meantime completed my Ph.D. in Civil engineering in 2004 and was bestowed with the Jawaharlal Nehru award for Best thesis. Presently working in Crustacean Culture Division with focus on Seaweed mapping and culture, Coastal watershed-based geospatial modeling for environmental management and Nonconventional energy utilization, Artificial intelligence-based farm and hatchery automation. Solar-powered timer-controlled Automatic feeder has been designed and developed for L. vannamei farm.. She is the receipt of Norman Borlaug award and has undergone training on nonpoint source pollution at IOWA,USA. She has competitively won four external funded projects as PI from MoWR , DST, NFDB, and NABARD.
