After taking masters in Computer Science & Engineering in Madurai Kamaraj University, Madurai [1997] and PhD in Information Technology and Engineering in VIT University, Vellore [2011], I am working in CIBA since 1999 on Computer Applications in Aquaculture. I currently work in division of Social Sciences in CIBA. I have worked on optimizing models and decision support tools using advanced techniques such as Mahalanobis Taguchi System, Technique for Order Preference by Similarity to the Ideal Solution, Analytical Hierarchy Process and fuzzy logic etc for aquaculture farming development. I have contributed for the development of (1) decision making models for identification and classification of optimal location models; (2) methodologies and procedures for evaluating ICT projects; (3) e-Learning modules for disseminating aquaculture information; (4) database management system in aquaculture for making an archive of the existing and evolving culture practices. I have interests in the development of (1) decision making models for shrimp farming operations under different intensification practices; (2) methodologies for assessing the impact of ICT projects; (3) digital dissemination system for knowledge management; (4) Knowledge Centers in coastal/tribal areas.
