After my master’s degree in Veterinary Microbiology in 1997 and Ph.D. in Veterinary Microbiology in 2005, I served at ICAR-Central Institute of Fisheries Education, Mumbai. I have guided 11 Master’s degree and 4 doctoral students as the chairman of the advisory committee. I’m currently working in Fish Culture Division at ICAR-CIBA, Chennai since 2015. My field of work is fish and crustacean immunology and virology and have contributed to the development of molecular and immunodiagnostics for fish and shellfish diseases. I have developed hybridoma clones secreting monoclonal antibodies against several fish IgM and fish pathogens. I have interests in the mucosal immunity of fish, development of oral and immersion vaccines, and diagnostics for fish diseases.
