After taking a master's in Aquaculture (Inland) in 2002 and Ph.D. in Aquaculture in 2007, I am working in CIBA since 2008 on Brackishwater Finfish Breeding and Aquaculture. I currently work in Finfish Culture Division. I work on the breeding and aquaculture of economically important finfish species significant to the brackishwater aquaculture sector. I have contributed to the captive seed production of grey mullet Mugil cephalus and pearl spot Etroplus suratensis and other species like Asian seabass, milkfish, red snapper, and ornamental brackishwater species. I have an interest in captive fish reproduction, larval rearing, and developing aquaculture models for supporting the livelihood of small-scale farmers.
- Captive reproduction of brackishwater finfishes
- Development of larval rearing protocols
- Sustainable aquaculture models for livelihood generation
