After completion of B.F.Sc in Nautical Science from CUSAT, Kochi during 2006-10 and masters (M.F.Sc) in Aquaculture from ICAR-CIFE during 2011-2013, I joined the ICAR-CIBA, Chennai as a Scientist in 2016. Presently, I am working at the Navsari Gujarat Research Centre of CIBA (NGRC) in Navsari, since September 2018. During the master’s program, I have worked in the field of inland saline aquaculture wherein amended saline groundwater was used as the rearing medium for commercially important crustaceans and finfish. After joining ICAR-CIBA, I was briefly involved in the operation of the giant mud crab hatchery and contributed to the optimization of nursery rearing protocols of megalopa. I could also carry out the first successful farming demonstration for P. vannamei in Bathinda Dist., Punjab, using high alkaline inland saline groundwater. Presently I am involved in the development of farming technologies for indigenous and exotic shrimp in diverse climatic and environmental conditions. I also have a research interest in the field of osmoregulation of commercially important penaeids.
