A Farmers Interaction Meet on Sustainable Shrimp Farming was organized at the Kakdwip Research Centre of ICAR-CIBA on September 10th, 2024, with active participation from 32 farmers from the Namkhana block of South 24 Parganas. The event was sponsored by the Ms. Sundeep Packaging Industry, Kolkata, MoU partner for CHINGUDI PLUS feed technology of ICAR-CIBA. The program commenced with a lamp lighting ceremony and welcome address by the Head of KRC. Mr. Biju I.F., Scientist delivered a lecture on Best Management Practices of Shrimp Farming, while Dr. Sanjay Das, Principal Scientist at KRC, provided insights into disease management aspects. Dr. Debasis De, Head of KRC, elaborated on “CHINGUDIPLUS” and ideal feed management practices for sustainable shrimp farming. The interactive session witnessed engaging discussions between farmers and scientists from KRC on various aspects of shrimp farming. The program concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Dr. Sanjay Das, Principal Scientist, KRC of CIBA.
