A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed between The Neotia University and ICAR-Central Institute of Brackishwater Aquaculture on 13th May 2024 for a collaboration of research and development in brackishwater aquaculture sector. Dr. Manish, Registrar – The Neotia University, and Shri Navin Kumar Jha, Chief Administrative Officer, ICAR-CIBA, signed the MoU on behalf of their respective institutes.
Shri Navin Kumar Jha, Chief Administrative Officer emphasized the importance of the MoU in academic, research and education to promote collaborative research, student exchanges and faculty interactions between these two institutions. He briefed ICAR-CIBA’s professional services in technologies for feed formulation, fish processing, fish value-added product development, and Plankton plus production from fish waste. ICAR – CIBA also strives to provide its assistance to the startups/farmers/entrepreneurs in developing and implementing the technology.
Dr. Biswajith Ghosh, Vice Chancellor, highlighted the University’s achievements and the significance of signing the MoU. Prof. Dr. H. S. Murthy, Chair Professor & Dean, Fisheries Science coordinated the MoU signing. The officials from The Neotia University and scientists from ICAR-CIBA attended the MoU signing ceremony.
