ICAR-CIBA signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Ms.Manjha Technologies Private Limited, Haryana on 1st November, 2023 to promote research and extension services for shrimp aquaculture in the inland saline areas of North India. Dr. Kuldeep. K. Lal, Director CIBA highlighted the strength of CIBA in improved production techniques, transfer of technologies in addition to providing technical guidance to stakeholders. He expressed the possibility of collaboration in the areas of training, extension services to disseminate the best management practices, prevention and control of diseases and to enhance the sustainability of aquaculture. This collaboration is aimed at promoting responsible and environmentally friendly aquaculture in the inland saline areas.
Mr. Shobhit Aggarwal, Co-founder of Ms.Manjha Technologies highlighted the importance of this partnership and expressed that this will be a successful initiative program to attain the goals of promoting responsible and environmentally friendly aquaculture in the inland saline areas. Today’s challenges are economic and social and hence several issues faced by the industry should be addressed to meet issues such as nutrition, health, energy, and environment. Aquaculture trends are constantly evolving, bringing new innovative ideas and advancements to cope up with the industry He said. Even a small change in the practices/approach can have a significant and long-lasting impact on the sector. The company looking for collaboration with CIBA to improve the dedicated e-platform for marketing fish and shrimp seed in addition to healthcare products in India in addition to crop insurance policies.
