ICAR-CIBA signed memorandum of understanding with M/s. Helini Biomolecules, Chennai on 11th August 2022 for up-scaling and commercial production of CIBA Water Probiotic-CIBAMOX on non-exclusive basis. Dr. K.P. Jithendran, Director, ICAR-CIBA highlighted the strength of various MoUs signed by ICAR-CIBA and the role of ICAR-CIBA in providing technology support to brackishwater aquaculture sector is remarkable. Dr. P.K. Patil, Principal Scientist and Team Leader for the technology briefed about the significance of the product in aquaculture pond management. This technology plays wide spectrum functions viz., decreases animal stress, enhances immunity, helps in nutrition all by improving the water quality of the habitat. He also highlighted that Helini Biomolecules is the fifth client to take up CIBAMOX technology. Dr. S. Selvaraj, CEO of Helini Biomolecules underlined that developing a quality and cost effective product which is safer and eco-friendly is important. This event was coordinated by the ITMU-ABI unit of ICAR CIBA and the Aquatic Animal Health team scientists. All HODs and SICs of various divisions of ICAR-CIBA participated in the event. Dr. P.K. Patil welcomed the gathering and delivered vote of thanks.
