As a part of International Coastal Clean-up Day on 17th September 2022, the Coastal Aquaculture Authority on behalf of Ministry of Fisheries, Animal Husbandry and Dairying and the National Fisheries Development Board, Hyderabad has organized a Chennai RUN for creating awareness on the importance of clean sea and coastal clean-up (Swachh Sagar, Surakshit Sagar campaign). Dr. L. Murugan, Hon‘ble Union Minister of State, Ministry of Fisheries, Animal Husbandry and Dairying & Information and Broadcasting, Govt. of India has graced the occasion and flagged off the run. ICAR-CIBA also volunteered to organize the programme as well as participated in the 6K Run. About 20 consisted scientists, staff and students from ICAR-CIBA participated in the event. Dr. R. Ananda Raja and Dr. K. Ambasankar coordinated the event from the institute.
