ICAR-Central Institute of Brackishwater Aquaculture observed Vigilance Awareness Week (VAW) 2023 from 30th October to 5th November 2023. ‘Integrity pledge’ for institution was administered by the Dr. Kuldeep Kumar Lal, Director, ICAR-CIBA among all the staff of the Institute including Regional Centers. All the family members of employee, stakeholders & collaborators were sensitized to take ‘Integrity pledge’ for citizen on website of Central Vigilance Commission (CVC) and commit to the nation on corruption free India.
On 31st October an online lecture on “ETHICS – an integral part of the practices for better governance” was delivered by Shri Indra Bhushan Kumar, Chief Administrative Officer, ICAR-CSWRI, Awikanagar in online mode among all the employee of Institute & its regional centre.
On 1st November, a debate competition was organized on the topic “Your vision for corruption free India” wherein, 19 participants from Head Quarters and Regional Centers actively participated in event. On 3rd November, a quiz competition was organized by Smt. Komal Sheokand, Senior Finance & Accounts Officer of the Institute, and on-spot prizes were distributed during the event itself. On 3rd November, a formal meeting was organized on VAW, wherein the staff from Headquarters and Regional Centers participated. Dr.M. Muralidhar, Vigilance Officer of the Institute welcomed the gathering and gave a brief on the importance of preventive vigilance.
A video on Public Interest Disclosure and Protection Informers (PIDPI) was shown during the meeting. Shri Navin Kumar Jha, Chief Administrative Officer of the Institute gave an overall report about the activities organized during the VAW and also spoke on the necessity and importance of PIDPI. Shree Jha also informed that during the Vigilance Awareness Week (VAW) PIDPI resolution 2004 displayed at prominent locations of the Institute & website for awareness. Several talk/training also organized on procurement/conduct rule in special campaign. During the Shri Vijay Kumar, Deputy Registrar, IIT Patna delivered an online talk on ‘Vigilance & procurement’. Dr. Kuldeep Kumar Lal, Director of the Institute in the presidential address emphasized the need for commitment of individuals and their responsibilities to the organization. During the meeting prizes & certificate were distributed to the winners of the competitions. The meeting was ended with Vote of thanks by Smt.V. Usha Rani, Administrative Officer of the Institute.
